Social Collaboration Capabilities of Sitrion ONE
The Sitrion ONE platform has many capabilities for social collaboration within organizations. This document is intended to provide Sitrion ONE Customers and prospects an overview of these capabilities.
Sitrion has been working on a new chat capability which allows employees to collaborate easily from the comfort of their phones. Primarily targeted to deskless workers, the capability allows for individual 1:1 chats and group chats. The feature when released will be manageable by Sitrion ONE admins where they can determine which employees will have access to the capability. Chat can be rolled out to all employees or to members of specific Sitrion ONE groups.

Sitrion offers many microapps that allow employees to post content to the Sitrion ONE productivity stream. These features enable employs to create content in the ONE platform which adds can add value for the employee posting and the employees consuming the productivity feed. All of the below capabilities allow employees using Sitrion ONE to post content in the form of cards to predefined channels and/or groups or can be configured to post publicly. Each of the cards can be liked or commented on providing a great social collaboration capability. All content created by users except for Kudos, will appear in the cloud comm messages console allowing admins to manage all posts and monitor content.
This microapp provides the ability to post a brief message and picture to the system allowing users to share an experience or information. Once posted any users permitted to view the content can like or comment on the post.
Like Post a message, submit an idea is intended to allow employees to submit ideas to an ideas channel. The microapp allows for a title, idea description and photo. This use case is useful in providing an employee the ability to provide ideas and feedback to the organization and can make the employee feel more valuable and engaged within the organization.
Like the Submit an Idea microapp, the Ask a question microapp is designed to allow employees to post questions to a questions channel. This is especially helpful for support use cases or questions to HR such as benefits enrollment and PTO. Organizations can assign subject experts to watch the question feed and provide answers to employees.
This offering allows organizations to foster getting to know colleagues within the organization. The microapp supports the asking of up to 5 questions of a colleague and prompts the employee to post a selfie picture with their peer to the feed. The generated card displays the questions and provided answers along with the submitted picture.
This capability takes a page from Instagram and other photo sharing sites where users can share a picture to a specific channel or group with a short description. This can be helpful for photo sharing campaigns and user picture generation that can be used for your organization’s internal or external marketing. Given the popularity of Instagram and other photo sharing sites this can potentially be used as an adoption strategy.
Kudos is defined as “praise and honor received for an achievement” and Sitrion offers a microapp and management capability which permits peer to peer recognition. Kudos definitions are managed by cloud comm admins. Employees giving and receiving a kudos will get a card in their stream with the kudos details. Kudos are also sent to a kudos channel allowing anyone to monitor or follow given praise in an organization.
