Configuring the Send a message micro-app
Available configuration options
The Send a message micro-app is a generic micro-app that allows cloud comm writers and admins to send messages. They can choose a group and channel to target.
The micro-app is configured to create cloud communication. Users can specify the channel and group they want the message sent to.
The send a message micro-app is intended to be a simplified version of the cloud comm new message form.
Configuring the Send a message micro-app
- First you need to assign the “Sitrion Cloud Communication Send a Message” micro-app to the role the users you want to communicate will be assigned to.
- If you want regular employees that are not “Cloud comm writers” to send messages you should configure a channel you wish employees to use for communication
- See section about configuring channels
Available configuration options
Configuration options are set in the application instance configuration form.

Description |
ShowSummary |
True or False |
When set to True the user is asked to enter both the text and a summary version of the text. If set to False then the summary is automatically created by coping the message text. Note: If the summary is showed but the user leaves it empty it will also automatically be populated with the text of the message. |
When a user submits a message with the micro-app a cloud communication message is sent to the channel and group that was selected by the author. Users subscribed to that channel and part of the selected group will get the message.
